Reaching Goa

Goa was such a place which didn't need any description. A smile was bound to appear on ones face as they hear/ read 'Goa'. There was some vibe in its name only. I went ahead with my plan to move to Goa and join Madhu in the new adventure life was calling for. After selling off most of my stuff and leaving the rented house, I booked an overnight bus to Goa from Pune. I was carrying my only backpack in which everything I own was getting fit. Rest everything was sold off. I had turned into a backpacker.

I reached Mapusa bus stand 6 in the morning. It was the month of December. Madhu was staying in Morjim with her friends. Morjim was around 15 km from Mapusa. I took a bus till Morjim. Sitting in that bus with local Goan people, listening to their conversations in Konkani language, watching coconut trees and traditional Portuguese style houses through the bus window. Sun was rising. I was feeling the cold morning breeze coming from the window while soothing sun rays were warming my skin. Life in Goa was far away from the hustle and bustle filled life in Pune. I was feeling absolutely peaceful in my life. I was in such a state where I wasn't knowing where I was heading in life but I was completely enjoying the journey.

To reach Morjim it took around 07:30 am. Madhu's friend's house was 15 min walk from the bus stop. A good concrete road was there. I started walking on a reddish sandy soil footpath. There were many coconut trees on the side of the road. Morjim was a clean and beautiful small village where rich tourist would come. All the restaurant and shops names were written in English and Russian. Most parts of Goa and especially Morjim was filled with Russians. I was noticing some Russians going for a morning walk. That place had more foreigners than locals. I felt like I had come to some foreign country.

I met Madhu where she was staying. She was happy to see me. The guy whom she had met 6 months back in Salli, who was caught up in running behind material things, was now standing in front of her with a single backpack. My courage to dive into the unknown was amusing for her. She just smiled at me. When a Guru meets some crazy disciple who is even ready to jump from the cliff just to get his teaching, then the Guru just smiles looking at the disciple. Her smile was somewhat like that. The way Madhu was living her life, was so fascinating to me. I hadn't met such a powerful woman in my whole life. Whenever she would talk it would feel like Life itself was talking to me. I was on the way to learn How to Live. I felt blessed and grateful for that new chapter which had just started in my life.

Madhu Came Like A Guru, One Who Removes The Darkness.
